We created this policy, effective starting January 2018, to clearly express how we handle your non-public personal information (“Personal Information”). Specifically, this policy explains:
TheirCare enables family members, friends, and professional caregivers to connect with loved ones or clients through the TheirCare service (“Service”). The Service is available at TheirCare’s website, their.care (“Site”), or through our mobile or TV applications (“Apps”).
In this policy, a User is an individual who uses our Site or Apps to research or evaluate the Service, and a Customer is an individual who registers for (or is provided with) a TheirCare subscription.
This policy applies to the use of the Site, Apps, and Service.
We may collect optional Personal Information from Users, such as cable provider or device information needed to determine compatibility with the Service. Also, we may collect email addresses and phone numbers if you contact our support team.
If you become a Customer, we may collect additional Personal Information, including your full name, contact information, and date of birth. Additionally, we may collect others’ Personal Information that you provide to us.
Other means by which we may collect Personal Information include:
We won’t sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information to any third parties. However, we may share Personal Information if required by law, such as when we believe it is necessary to investigate or take action against illegal activities.
Please contact us for any questions requests related to Personal Information. Most personal information is available via the Site or Apps.
Requests for Personal Information will be handled according to local laws. To protect your Personal Information, we will verify your identity prior to granting access to or modifying the information. We may refuse to provide access if the requested information would compromise the privacy of others, if providing access would be disproportionately expensive or difficult, or if the information is proprietary. If we refuse access, we’ll provide you with a written explanation within one month of your request.
We retain Personal Information for as long as you use the Site or Apps, or as long as necessary to fulfill any purpose for which it was collected. You may request deletion of your Personal Information by contacting us.
All communication between the Site, Apps, and Service is encrypted and securely transmitted. On the Site, you can verify this by ensuring that the page address begins with “https” or by looking for a green lock icon in your web browser’s address bar.
We also protect your information offline. Access to both anonymized tracking information and Personal Information is granted to employees on a need-to-know basis only. All computers and servers on which such information may be accessed or stored are physically and virtually secured.

California law permits Users and Customers to request and obtain from us a list of third parties to whom we have disclosed their Personal Information for direct marketing purposes in the previous calendar year. (Note that we don’t share Personal Information with third parties for marketing purposes, so that list will be empty.)
