Requirements for Care Providers and Support Partners

TheirCare can be accessed from a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the TheirCare web app (app.their.care). For easy access, you can add a bookmark to TheirCare in your web browser or pin it to the home screen of your smartphone or tablet.

Sending text, photo, and video messages

You can send and receive messages using any modern web browser, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Internet Explorer 11. After you sign into the TheirCare web app, you’ll be taken directly to the messages page.

For each Care Recipient that you support, you are also given a phone number. When you send a text message to that phone number, the messages are delivered to that Care Recipient. Texting that phone number is the same as texting a friend—no extra charges or fees. You can even attach photos or short videos. (Almost all cell phones support SMS/MMS. If you’re unsure about whether your phone supports it or whether your plan includes it, contact your phone provider.)

Making two-way video calls

Currently, video calling requires Chrome or Firefox, but support for Edge and Safari is in the works. This probably goes without saying, but video calling also requires a camera.

Because Safari doesn’t support video calling at this time, you will not be able to make video calls from an iPhone or iPad. Sending messages will work just fine. An app for iPhone is coming soon!
